American Desk in mahogany, with exposed dovetail case, breadboard end molded edge lid, fitted interior having shell carved drawers, valanced cubbies, stepped drawers and column concealments; the lower case containing four graduated beaded edge drawers with later butterfly drop bail brasses, on a molded base with squat cabriole legs ending on ball and claw feet, 33 1/2" to writing surface, 44" x 42" x 21 1/2". Roughness to edge of lid, shrinkage cracks to case.
