Has probably sat as title sheet to accounts, a pale handwritten title with text “Anno 1" in the left margin of the fol. 51 verso. fol. LI defect in the right part with text loss. Darkened, stained.

Manuale Upsalense is the oldest printed handbook of the Church of Sweden. Collijn published in 1918 an edition: Manuale Upsalense (Stockholm 1487): The oldest printed handbook of the Swedish Church/after the newly reconstructed copy in the Royal Library with an introduction by Isak Collijn.
Provenance: Sven Borgström was born in Malmö in 1927 and worked as a chemist in Stockholm, Malmö and Lund. He left behind a fine book collection of older books spanning the years 1469-1798. His book collecting began, as it should be, with an incunabula. Borgström's interests included both book printing, book tapes, book illustrations and he took an interest in history, travel and also maps. As a consequence of an earlier coin collecting, the subject of numismatics was also of interest in his library. Sven Borgström was 95 years old.Show more
