MANUEL ÁLVAREZ BRAVO
1902-2002
SELECTED IMAGES FROM 'FIFTEEN PHOTOGRAPHS BY MANUEL ÁLVAREZ BRAVO'

14 (of 15) photographs from 'Fifteen Photographs by Manuel Álvarez Bravo' (New York: The Double Elephant Press Ltd., 1974, a total edition of 75), each mounted, signed and with edition 'AC/IV' in pencil on the mount, 10 framed, 1929-1967, printed in 1974; together with the printed title, introduction by André Breton, and colophon/plate list. Folio, black leather clamshell box with white-lettered title and mirrored interior
7⅝ by 9⅝ in. (13.4 by 24.4 cm.) or the reverse

Condition Report:
Although only one of the framed photographs was examined out of its frame, the photographs appear to be in overall excellent condition. The mounts of the unframed photographs are faintly age-darkened and there is some occasional very faint soiling. Some mounts are faintly darker in thick bands around the periphery of the image consistent with the overmats, and some of the edges of the mounts are slightly worn.
