MARKED LATE 18TH C. SCOTTISH HIGHLAND BROADSWORD
Mid to Late 18th century traditional Scottish highland claymore pierced basket hilted broadsword. Steel basket hilt is decorated with traditional pierced triangular pattern of the 18th century. Double edged straight blade bears triple fuller & is maker marked on both sides of ricasso with British Broad Arrow marking near "G R" maker marking. Pre - pattern 1828.
