A pair of circa 1920 Meissen porcelain candlesticks. Each offers a single candle cup handle to the backside. Depicting figures amidst a flower brush. Blue crossed swords mark with dot on the backside dates this piece to 1924-1934. Depth 6". From the Estate of Renate Gilmore, Brighton, Mich.
Condition: When viewed under UV light, inpainting or conservation does not fluoresce to the female figure candlestick--only minor losses to petals and leaves were observed. Under UV light, inpainting fluoresces to the male figure candlestick at points of chips & losses. Otherwise, gilding is bright and both pieces have high detail. CP
