Made in Italy - Very rare Italian trunk stickers, one of the famous Miramare hotel in Civitavecchia (Rome)
Very rare Italian travel trunk from the beginning of the 20th century, 100% original. This travel trunk was used together with another (matching) trunk that was auctioned some time ago. This one is slightly smallest than the other one, but similar in style and design. Likely it was used for shorter trips, but shows no specific mark or indication. There’s only an engraving on the closure: "made in Italy". It could be made by Franzi of Milan, but the seller is not sure about it. On the sides, there are two amazing stickers: one from the Miramare Hotel in Civitavecchia (Rome) dating back to the 1950s/60s, the other one made for celebrate the 1969 Apollo 11 Mission. The trunk has no original zipper: it was replaced in the past with an inaccurate tweak; the leather surface shows signs of wear, especially on the sides. The fabric parts inside show some signs of wear, but the trunk is complete, with all of its original accessories (8 hangers, straps and the hanger rack) . All of the keys are missing but locks open and close easily even without them. With the original leather handle.
