Madonna and Child - Embroidery - 65 cm - 49.5 cm

Very beautiful old embroidery in gold, silver and silk threads in a running stitch.
Depicting the Virgin and Child

A work of extreme finesse and high quality, faces and hands painted in oil, it certainly required hundreds of hours of hand work, meticulously embroidered clothes, gold background.
17th century
Later framed under glass and wood.
Dimensions 65 x 49. 5 cm

In very good condition with normal signs of age, wear and minor losses. Not examined out of frame. See condition on detailed photos.
Note that it is extremely complex to have a photographic rendering of the colors, bursts and reliefs also due to the framing glass, the work being in reality more vibrant, slightly darker and much more beautiful in my opinion.
