Maestro Veneto del XVII Secolo - Giochi di putti

[ translate ]

\Artist: Maestro Veneto del XVII Secolo
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 83_100_5_cm
Antique painting, oil on canvas, XVII century, depicting putti. The painting is attributed to an artist of Venetian School, active during the 17th century. An analysis of the work highlights the use of pigments and refined pieces, evoking and finding comparisons with similar compositions by Giulio Carpioni; a Venetian artist among the most interesting of the Baroque age and active between Venice and Vicenza. To his style belongs not only the peculiar iconography but also the pictorial rendering, in which we perceive his typical taste, in that he prefers clearly understood shapes, calibrated in the still light and the formal rigour of the drawing that outlines the chiaroscuro passages. With a beautiful and recent frame, golden and decorated with leaves pattern. In excellent condition considering the age of the painting, there are no restoration or noteworthy flaws. There are no conservation issues and the original canvas is supported by an old re-lining that does not seem to require restoration. Fine craquelure compatible with age. The stretcher was probably replaced at the time of the re-lining. Canvas size: 66 x 82. 5 cm. Frame size: 83 x 100 cm. With photographic certificate of authenticity, in accordance with the current law. Shipping via insured express courier, packaged with the utmost care.
