Condition Report: In overall fine and stable condition, with minor layers of surface dirt and dust and light areas of stable craquelure throughout. Canvas has been relined and is not taught on stretchers. Three patches visible to verso, with corresponding areas of inpainting visible to recto under raking and UV light: at pail (lower left, approx. 1 3/8 x 1 1/2 inches), at center dog's haunches (center, 4 x 3 3 /8 inches), and wall by chain (upper center, 2 1/2 x 4 inches). Minor losses throughout frame.
