Condition Report: Frame abrasion at upper edge. Yellowing and darkening to the varnish layer. Pronounced craquelure with some visible retouching. Horizontal line of visible retouching running along upper edge, approximately 1-inch down from edge. A vertical line of visible retouching and discolored varnish running along left edge, approximately 1-inch inward from edge. Lining support slightly visible at lower half of left edge. A very few pinpoint losses beneath the varnish layer. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Extensive retouching to address prior craquelure. Aforementioned horizontal and vertical lines of retouching at upper and left edges. A very few finely applied dots and dashes of retouching to the sky and landscape. No apparent retouching to the figures.
