Description Complete calum manuscript with between 250 and 280 sheets this type of manucript is the type called "Ca Lum" because round or cursive Burmese writing that was used for everyday use. The sheets are palm leaves that are scratched with a stylus. The Palis manuscripts constitute a vast body of religious and secular texts, the material realization of which uses techniques specific to Sri Lanka and the Buddhist countries of the Indochinese peninsula.
