…in Martha Jungwirth’s studio…the centrally placed table is largely covered, like a still life, with half- or fully squeezed, partially dried-out tubes of oil paint, all of which are coated in a reddish-purple hue. In between are small bowls for mixing or stirring paint, which have also taken on this reddish-purple tint, with hints of crimson, vermilion, and lavender. A preference for color that is at the same time a trace of a working method that has little to do with economical calculations of and rule and order…
