IGBO Mask This prestigious mask, called MMWO, represents a famous and noble feminine spirit, archetype of feminine beauty in all its radiance, both physically and morally. It is called "Queen of women". The forehead is surmounted by a statuette of a great ancestor, intended to guide and protect in life. Large mask which dances at the time of important ritual masquerades. Beautiful mastery and refinement of the sculpture, certainly the work of a great artist. Exceptional quality. This mask belonged to Prince Njassé who died in 2014, brother of the king of Bamoun, who had married a princess Igbo in his first marriage. Piece obtained directly from his widow.
