"I spent several days painting aspen groves on Signal Mountain in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in September of 2000. I was impressed by the distant blues of the backlit Tetons, in contrast to the golden glow these Autumn trees cast. To me, this was a natural complement." - Matt Smith

Condition: The painting appears to be in very good condition. The frame appears to be in good condition with some flaking to the gold leaf as follows: a 1 1/4 inch x 1/2 inch loss at the upper left, a 7/8 inch x 1/8 inch loss at the lower left, and a 2 1/8 inch x 1/4-3/8 inch loss at the lower right.
