Maurice Utrillo (Paris, 26 December 1883 – Dax, 5 November 1955) , French post-impressionist painter, was the son of Suzanne Valadon and his beau-père was André Utter.
\r
Les trois artistes ont composé le soi-disant :
« Infernal Trio », which is the name of a woman who was considered exclusively in Montmartre and belonged to the Montmartre school group, with Toulouse Lautrec, where Suzanne Valadon was her muse; Amédée Modigliani ; Pierre-Auguste Renoir; Chaïm Soutine and Pablo Picasso.
Maurice Utrillo was Modigliani's faithful friend and he often returned to the cabarets or bars of Montmartre to find and share his ideas about the painting and art of that period.
\r
Vers 1918, Utrillo met Lucie Valore, with her husband, Robert Pauwels, art collector, who had the works of three artists and Suzanne Valadon present Utrillo to Lucie Valore and was married in 1935.
\r
Maurice Utrillo was one of the most important painters of Montmartre, with his reflection in the art district of Montmartre and the social reality of the era, transmitting to the viewer who regards his works, in a poetic and sentimental tone, that's what the artist is looking for.
