In 1967, 1969 and 1972 Mechthildis Muschick-Zweiniger travelled to Namibia and South Africa for several months at a time. There she showed her work in several exhibitions and undertook extensive studies on wild animals.
The Water Leaves are a series of seven pictures, all of which deal with the various aspects of water in the African desert.
