Medieval Persian Brown & White Ceramic Handled Vessel

**First Time At Auction**

Western Asia, Persia (Iran), ca. 13th to 14th century CE. A graceful pottery vessel with a rounded body, gently corseted neck, and slightly flared rim. Extending from the rim to the body without interruption are two broad, vertical, loop-shaped handles. The surface of the vessel is decorated with simple geometric brown-on-white motifs around the upper body and on the handles; the lower body is a solid dark red-brown, as is the vessel interior. Size: 7.9" W x 6.45" H (20.1 cm x 16.4 cm)

Provenance: ex-private southern California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
