for eight persons with 112 pieces from the so-called "Swan Service", designed by Johann Joachim Kändler (1706-1775) and Johann Friedrich Eberlein (1696-1749) on behalf of Heinrich Count von Brühl (Prime Minister August III and Director of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory) c. 1738-1743, all pieces with underglazed blue sword mark, 1st prize, with a blue and white sword. Election, year of the 1970s to 1990s, model and Bosierer numbers as well as brushed decoration number 397152/237, the magnificent service ensemble, once designed for 100 persons and comprising more than 2200 individual pieces, which is regarded as the main work of baroque Meissen porcelain art, captivates by its shell-like basic form and the moving relief surface of water waves, swan, reed, heron and fish motifs, the stylised dolphin handles, Snail buttons and plastic, filigree figures from Greek mythology are decorated with fine polychrome on-glaze painting and all additionally decorated with "Indian painting" and gold staffage. The magnificent service offered here consists of the "Terrine with Acis, Galatea and Tritons" (model number 5028) as the centrepiece of the festive table, "Swan with Amorette as sauce boat" (5225), two "Tin with Swan and Amorette (or) "Amorettes" (5021 and 5828), twice "Amorettes on Dolphin" (73710 and 73376), three times eight dinner plates, eight soup bowls with lids, six small bowls, an angular bowl with handles, three round and two oval bowls, a bowl, another sauce boat and asthma tin as well as mocha and coffee service with centrepiece and eight covers, a teapot and cake bowl with foot, in addition a small shell box (marked Edition 2003/2004) and two small plastic swans as table decoration, all in perfect and unrestored condition, Meissen-Manufaktur-Price approx. 150,000 Euro, H Showpiece tureen 43 cm, H Swan sauce boat 19.5 cm, H Tin with swan 21 and 13 cm, H Jugs 15 cm, 18.5 and 25 cm, D D Dinner plate 32 cm, 28 and 24.5 cm, D Plate max. 35 cm, H Dolphins each approx. 12 cm, H Pair of swans each 6.5 cm.
