Mercedes-Benz - 190 SL NO RESERVE - 1961
Hereby I offer a very correct 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL in its super sympatic factory color code #334 Light Blue with a parchment light cream interior. This 190SL is a nostalgic tribute to the good old times of driving pleasure. Naturally, it comes equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, dual Solex carburetors, solid wheels, soft top, Mercedes-Benz hub caps, beauty rings, and signature white line tires. A beautiful factory color combination pure 190SL that has just come out of storage and has a free running motor and the complete set of keys to start it. It's a fully original car, imported by me personally to Europe from California, with customs clearance in Antwerp in 2021. This is a rare perfect candidate for restoration, basically roughly untouched and stored in its natural condition. Traces of age and wear are present, but the car was kept inside with great care and respect. No full restoration was attempted ever. Original chrome and completely authentic exterior, all in place and in order and no surprises. Also matching numbers and fully correct and short car history. I am just the 3d owner. The car is generally complete with just few small elements missing or not working properly due to the age. The engine bay in particular is well preserved, it carries the factory-unique clips, screws and bolts identified as being totally original, and evidence that the engine has never been removed from the vehicle. All the plates with matching numbers are in place and totally correlate. Restoration of this car is needed but the starting point is a very good one. The car was purchased by me personally with the intention to restore it to participate in the shows but due to a general change of situation, I would now like to offer it to the serious collector/restoration specialist/SL190 enthusiast with heart breaking.
