Starting from the base of the Mercedes-Benz 190 Type 201, the German engineers made many modifications, both mechanical and aesthetic. . . The numerous aesthetic additions are above all intended to improve the vehicle's aerodynamics and the cooling of its components. The aim was to serve as a base for the German DTM approval, which is why the aerodynamic attachments were already approved. Thus, the bumper is now in 3 parts with a more pronounced front spoiler. To accommodate larger rims, the wider, wrap-around wing wideners extend to the lower edge of the bodywork. The rear spoiler is higher and wider with fasteners on the outer edge of the boot, unlike the standard 2. 5-16S. and Only 500 of these were produced in 1989 for the whole world, 30 of which were produced for France.
