This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL convertible was built in 1959 and delivered new on 1-1-1960. It was delivered new in Switzerland and has a Dutch registration since 29-01-2002. The original Solex carburettors (PHH44) in this 190 SL have been completely overhauled, this was documented with photos. This is a very original car. Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, highly original, it’s only original once! Increasingly difficult to find in such original condition. Original Swiss 190SL, delivered in Zurich (CH) , first admission was in Switzerland. Fully matching numbers. The ‘datenkarte’ / ‘fahrzeugdaten’ are available! Original Talbot W Berlin mirrors. Even the bonnet has matching numbers (see pictures) . Completely original and unwelded car. This 190 SL still has the "first" spot welding ex works. Perfect body fit (see photos) , it still has Bosch features on the headlights. Ex factory, this 190 SL is equipped with a special grille and mask against frost (in the boot) . It still has the first leather interior ex works! Vehicle for collectors. This original Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is equipped with the following factory options: • Becker radio • Kienzle Uhr • Solex carburettors (PHH44) • The original Solex PHH44 carburettors were completely overhauled recently, photos available for inspection (see photos) • Major service done, ready to drive and enjoy! • Fitted with an immobilizer Because this original car is very original, it is often exhibited at Mercedes-Benz events (see photos) Very original 190 SL which exudes authenticity, it drives great and better than most restored cars. The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a two-door grand touring convertible, built between May 1955 and February 1963. A prototype was shown at the New York Auto Show in 1954. The 190SL was similar to the faster and more expensive Mercedes-Benz 300SL, it is very similar in terms of styling, technology, detailing and the fully independent suspension. The four-cylinder engine of the 190SL was based on the six-cylinder engine of the 300 SL. A Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is a timeless icon from the German automotive industry.
