* Mercedes Benz 280 SE from 1971
. Of French origin, it belonged to a famous accordion player who kept it in his garage for 23 years, since then it has been restarted and made reliable for recreational use, we go for outings and trips of several hundred kilometres without any concerns.
. It has a standard French registration as a 6-seater. The French MOT is valid through to July 2020. The mileage reads 21,032 km, but this 280 SE has probably done 123,000 km.
. The body is in good condition but there is a spot of rust on the left rear wing near the chrome strip. The paintwork is in decent condition, some scratches.
. The interior superb, the black leather has a lovely natural patina, the seats are very comfortable, the dashboard is very nice. The mechanics now work really well.
. The four white sidewall tyres are practically new, they were replaced about 1,000 km ago. The complete exhaust system has been replaced by a new stainless steel one, custom-made for this 280 SE. The tank received a preventative waterproofing treatment.
