Mercedes-Benz - 450SL - 1973

[ translate ]

This beautiful 1973 Mercedes-Benz 450SL has just been imported from sunny California! The year 1973 was the first year the 450SL type name was used. This was also the last year that the Euro-spec bumpers were delivered in the US. From 1974 onwards, these elegant ones were replaced by the more robust rubber ones. This means this 450SL is very unique as it was only available for one year. On top of that, this car was delivered in the colour Ahorngelb (colour code 606G) . This colour was chosen very little and was only available from 1972 to 1979. The car was delivered new in Beverly Hills but has spent all its life in Palm Springs where it is always sunny. The car has had a cosmetic restoration in order to address the fading paint caused by the sun. The car has been resprayed in its original colour and a new fabric top has been fitted. A new interior has been fitted on the inside. Dee seats were reupholstered with original leather as well as the centre console. The dashboard has been recovered with artificial leather and the floor coverings were fully replaced. An original Becker Europa II radio has been installed, this completes the interior. The car was always well maintained since the restoration, kept in a garage and barely driven. The odometer also proves this: only 75,300 miles (121,000 km) driven. Everything obviously works in this Mercedes, all the knobs and gauges do their job perfectly and the air conditioning blows cold. If there are any more questions, feel free to ask! Walkaround video: https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=F1k. CLJqw. L5g It can be viewed and collected in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium.
