Mercedes-Benz - 500 SEL (W126) - 1983

[ translate ]

1983 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL, in very good condition. The chassis/VIN number is: WDB1260371A174509. It is increasingly hard to find a W126 Series S from the second series with long wheelbase. The car is 90% restored, with pending details such as correcting one tear on the passenger’s seat that was made when cleaning the leather (see photos) . The car has been fully painted, disassembling all bodywork accessories. The underbody was sanded by hand and it got the corresponding gravel protection treatment. All belts, fluids, filter and gearbox filter and oil have been replaced. Also the linkage bushings. Fully restored rims and new tyres. The car runs very well. It is very hard to find fully painted W126 cars due to the work they require, in this case, including the underbody. There is no rust. New exhaust line. Currently the odometer does not work. There is no record of the car having travelled many more km than those shown, as, when the current owner bought the car, it had been standing still for 10 years and the car has only had three owners since new. The last ITV (Spanish vehicle inspection) was passed with zero flaws and the car has not passed any other inspection since it is for sale. The car has been almost fully restored by the company Retrosport using original Mercedes-Benz parts acquired at the Motor Mecha official dealership. The car is in Madrid, Spain.
