[20] , 120, [1] leaves; 1 copper engraved folding table (315 mm x 380 mm i. e. 12. 4 x 14. 9 inches) . XVIII century full vellum binding (two very small wears to edges) , three raised bands, paper title piece on the spine and small repair to the external part of the front cover. Insignificant signs of humidity to the external part of the first and last leaves. Some old underlining and notes in the margins. A small filiform wormhole in the lower internal margin of five leaves (no text involved!) . Two small tears perfectly restored to the map of the gymnasium. The state of conservation is very good (see photos) . First edition of this important work that describes the gymnastics at the time of Romans and Greeks and its importance for the health of the body and of the mind. He work details the several aspects of gymnastics applied to healthy, young and old people. The book offered here contains the very scarce folding table showing the gymnasium, as described by Vitruvius.
