Michoacan Tzintzuntzan Pottery Vessels

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan area, Tzintzuntzan, ca. 1350 to 1521 CE. A fascinating trio of pottery vessels showcasing diverse forms and vibrant pigments. The first presents a serpentine form reminiscent of a Greek guttus with an open interior and the flared spout rising diagonally upward from the tubular body. The second resembles a teapot with a rounded bottom, a lengthy, slender spout, and a high-arching handle. The last features a squat body with a wide hip and a sweeping handle that towers high above its shallow basin. Size of largest (serpentine vessel): 3.3" W x 1.7" H (8.4 cm x 4.3 cm)
