UNIQUE glass object by the famous Dutch glass artist Mieke Groot.
Her work is part of the collection of the Corning Museum of Glass, USA.
The National Glass Museum in Leerdam, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Mieke Groot uses special techniques, such as with this beautiful object.
She blows an opaque glass ball that has cooled down and applies layers of sand enamel on it as decoration.
The enamel layer is then burned in, creating a ceramic effect.
