Outstanding pottery "mingqi" representing a Very Large and Monumental Pottery Figure of a Ferghana Horse Grey earthenware coated with white slip and remains of original orange, black, pink and red pigment. Provenance: Provenance: property of a gentleman Mr. W. R. Germany acquired in the 1990s. Tang dynasty. Perfect piece! Height: 63 cm. The horse shown standing foursquare with head turned to the left, mouth open and ears picked, covered in brick yellow pigment, with areas pf the head, neck, rump and fetlocks left unpainted in contrast, the saddle painted orange and dark red.
