Miniature Ancient Vietnamese Dong Son Bronze Bottle

Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE to 2nd century CE. A petite bronze bottle cast from bronze via the lost wax (cire perdue) technique. The spherical vessel rests atop a narrow foot and has a tapered neck that flares slightly at the top to form the rim. Nice patina covers the entire bottle. Size: 1.875" W x 2.7" H (4.8 cm x 6.9 cm)

Provenance: private southern California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
