Miniature Greek Blackware Baby Feeder + Jug

Greece, Southern Italy, Campania, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A fabulous set of two miniature black-glazed pottery vessels from ancient Campania. First is a squat baby feeder with a flat base, a carinated body, a petite flared rim, and a pierced conical mouthpiece projecting from the side. Second is a short olpe with an apple-shaped body adorned with several vertical ribs, a corseted neck, a flared rim surrounding a wide mouth, and a strap handle arching between rim and shoulder. Size of largest (olpe): 2" W x 2.375" H (5.1 cm x 6 cm).
