A fine Minton porcelain Pate-Sur-Pate lidded vase. The front and reverse decorated in finely tooled pate-sur-pate in white slip by Laurence Birks. Peacock blue ground, the central image depicting 3 cherubs fishing the reverse with a bucket of fish and fishing rod. Signed "LB" for Laurence Birks. Gilt reticulated stand with gilt accents to the circular bands, reticulated lid, and handles. Gilt crown globe Minton mark to the underside base. Date cypher for 1881. Shape number 2421.
