Caucasian Mogan rug, knotted in the second half of the 19th century by nomadic Nogai cattle breeders of Turkish origin. The rug has red as the background colour with 5 octagons characteristic of this type of rug. Wool on wool, the rug is in fair condition with logical traces of ageing and possibly in need of some minor restoration, 299 x 97 cm.
