Moldavite South Bohemian Region Czech Republic This bushy example of the tektite variety Moldavite has the physical characteristics of Besednice material from the Czech Republic and represents a rare glass formed due to a meteorite impact on the Earth. Dark green in coloration, vitreous in luster, and highly textural, this example weighing over 12 grams is both a rather sizable and highly collectible example. The display side is somewhat convex and exhibits lots of textural surface area, while the backside of the representation is flatter, with a slight concavity.
