The Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA) was formed in December 1955, following arrest of Rosa Parks. The organization is famous for the Montgomery Bus Boycotts of 1955 and 1956. It played a critical role in fighting segregation in the city and produced some of the Civil Rights Movement's most well-known figures. All items have varying degrees of soiling and light toning. Light wear to the corners of the documents. Minor wear and soiling to the envelopes.
