Monumental French walnut buffet in the Renaissance style, late 19th century, the top section having a rectangular stepped pediment rising on columns and sheltering a large central cupboard framed by six galleried display shelves, the door having a deeply carved scene depicting a pride of lions and two mounted hunters in an exotic setting, rising on two sculptural seated gnomes, the lower cabinet centering a carved panel depicting a couple in a medieval interior near the hearth, and fitted with three drawers over three carved panels, the whole rising on a molded plinth terminating to compressed bun feet, 106"h x 72.75"w x 24.75"d.
