Describing the Sea-Coasts, Capes, Head-Lands… Rivers and Ports in the Whole Northern Navigation, woodcut Royal arms on title, 31 engraved maps (mostly of the coast of Scandinavia and the Baltic, 26 double-page, 5 folding), decorated with strapwork cartouches and mile scales, coats of arms, compass roses and rhumb lines, sailing ships, several woodcut text illustrations depicting coastal profiles, double column, slight browning, dust soiling and occasional thumbing, occasional spotting, minor tearing, some creasing and small repairs at folds or corners to verso of some maps, small hole to E2, a few pages trimmed with no loss to text, annotation by Robert Taylor dated 1757 to front pastedown, and others on sailing directions to the Holy Island, and accountancy, contemporary English paneled calf, bling tooled corner pieces, a little scuffed, [NMM 3 424; Phillips, Atlases 2843 and 2844], folio (478 x 305mm.), W. & J. Mount, T. Page, 1756.
