[ translate ]

Model: Calatrava
Reference: R8483
Case Material: Pink Gold
Bracelet Material: Leather Strap
Year: 1954
Movement: Automatic
Caliber: 115
Case N°: A2131950
Movement N°: 7280
Dimensions: 35 mm
Signed: Dial, movement and case

Movado was founded by 19-year-old Achille Ditisheim, a talented watchmaker who opened his workshops in La Chaux de Fonds in 1881 along with six watchmakers and the name chosen derives from the constructed language Esperanto meaning “always in motion”. This idea is at the base of the lot here offered, an automatic wristwatch in pink gold made in the 1950s and preserved in very notable conditions. The case is finely preserved with no evident signs of wearing: the straight downturned lugs are untouched, the screw back shows no signs while the sloped bezel is still very nice. The pink dial is absolutely fascinating with a guillochè decoration on the outside while internally is located a smooth, shiny square with a semicircle for the constant seconds. The dial is completed with applied baton indexes, dauphine hands and the Movado signature.

Estimate € 2500 - 5000
