Muller Frères - large French Art Deco lamp
MULLER FRERES
. A large 1925-1930 French art deco lamp in wrought iron of excellent quality. The finely detailed base holds a nice shade in molded pressed frosted glass produced by Muller freres. In a beautiful dull-pink colour that spreads a warm toned light. It is signed Muller freres Luneville. The lamp is 51,3 cm high. And the shade has a diameter of 19,5 cm. This model Muller bowl which is refered to in old catalogues as gouttes d´eau (the waterdrops) was made in two sizes. The one on this lamp is the large one.
The lamp is in excellent condition. The deep-brown coloured forged iron base has a satin appearance. The shade is a little nibbled at the rim, see last picture. The lamp is rewired with new cloth covered twisted cord and is equiped with a new european E27 socket. For the States or Japan I will wire the lamp with a US standard socket and 2-prong plug.
