NAPOLEON III GILT BRONZE & ROUGE MARBLE TAZZA

French, last half 19th century. Napoleon III patinated and gilt bronze tazza, having female figural handles and stem, profile of a Bacchante or allegorical representation of Autumn, on a rouge griotte marble base, apparently unmarked.

Provenance: The Collection of Diana McCluskey, Tampa, FL; acquired from Fontaine's Auction Gallery, May 21, 2022, Lot 274.

Approximate dimensions: h. 8.75", w. 15.5", d. 11.75".
Condition: Some chips to underside of marble, minimum gilt loss.
