83 cm x 64,5 cm. Painting. Oil on canvas. Copy after: "The letter reader (or letter reading girl) at the open window" is an oil painting, painted by Jan Vermeer between 1657 to 1659. Therefore it belongs to the early phase of Vermeer's artistic work. The painting is the same size as the original. Normally it can be seen in the Old Masters Picture Gallery in Dresden, where it is kept since 1742. Since 2017 it has been restored and exhibited. In mid-2020 it will be shown in the reopened Semper Gallery.
