Nain - Carpet - 392 cm - 78 cm
Nain is a small village at the gates of Isfahan in central Persia and origin of the carpets of the same name. Nain rugs are dominated by light shades such as ivory and beige as well as dark blue. The pattern contours are often highlighted by silk.
Most Nain 9 La have a knot density of 250,000 to 490,000 knots per square meter.
The quality of Nain carpets is differentiated by the strength of the warp threads. The additional designation 9La or 6La says something about the knotting density, because the number describes the number of single yarns that make up a warp thread.
