Napoleon III Christofle Gilt Bronze Centerpiece
DESCRIPTION: A Christofle gilt bronze centerpiece featuring an elaborate conforming frame set with heavy gilt bronze openwork designs of scrolling foliage and floral passages, exceptional double layer open work design with draping banners and scrolling vine handles, centered by cartouches with Imperial double eagle etching, and completed with six scrolling acanthus feet. Inserted with a silver plated center insert. Stamped "Christofle" along scrolling feet and numbered "224244" along the frame.
