Native American Stone Tool w/ Half Groove

Native American, Western United States, Southern Wyoming, Plains Tribes, ca. 200 to 1000 CE. A hand-carved half-groove stone tool with an elongated ovoid body. A groove runs about halfway across the center of the stone, hence the 'half-groove' designation, and was likely used for attaching the stone to a handle to act like a hammer or mace head. The stone presents with a nice mottled pink, black, and white color. Size: 3.6" L x 2.4" H (9.1 cm x 6.1 cm)
