Natural pearl and diamond brooch, circa 1910
Of scrolling foliate design set with cushion-shaped, circular- and rose-cut diamonds and suspending a natural pearl drop measuring approximately 16.2 x 12.9 x 9.8mm.
Accompanied by a gemmological report.
Condition Report:
Accompanied by GCS report no. 81315-81, dated 13th July 2021, stating that the pearl drop is natural, saltwater. The bouton shaped pearl was unable to be tested due to setting.
Unsigned. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 6.40-6.90 carats, estimated to be approximately J-M colour, VS2-SI2 clarity on average. The pearls have a cream or silver body colour, the cream pearl has slight bluish green overtones and the silver pearl exhibits slight rose overtones. One small drill hole visible to the side of the silver pearl. Some uneven surface structure and possible internal crazing visible to the cream pearl. Unassociated brooch fitting. Small repair to the jump-ring of the pearl drop. Length 69mm, width 49mm. Overall in good condition. Total gross weight approximately 24.1g.
