[ translate ]

**First Time At Auction**

Roman, late Imperial Period, ca. late 3rd to 4th century CE. A cast-bronze plumb bob with a compressed spherical body with a pair of holes bored lengthwise through the body. The top of the plumb bob features a squat neck with an integral suspension ring, and the base tapers into a thick, cylindrical point.
