[ translate ]

Neolithic Terracotta Abstractive and almost entire Figurine of the Great Goddess Mother with a Ritually broken Head Very static monolithic body with wide spread arms (pierced because presumably attached with ropes) in a preying position with very abstractive shapes of her body showing her femminine parts, like the small embossed breast (one is damaged, one still very well preserved) and her embossed backside. The legs are not differentiated and practically looks like a small pedestal. Masterfully glazed and smooth surface. The head is missing because was ritually broken in the neolithic times, obviously a part of a religious ritual, otherwise very well preserved. See Photo Extremely rare Size: 6cm. Item No. K12 Purchased by the current owner in 2014 in Austria, Wien from Collector fair. Collected Since: 1990's. Previous owners history: Old Austrian Private Collection. The Seller can prove that the lot was obtained legally , provenance statement seen by Catawiki. Important information. The seller guarantees that he is entitled to ship this lot. The seller will take care that any necessary permits will be arranged. The seller will inform the buyer about this if this takes more than a few days.
