Netsuke - Elephant ivory - Gyokuho - Japan - Edo Period (1600-1868)

Large manju-netsuke depicting Ebisu on large carp; fishing rod and basket on reverse side In very good overall condition, with signs of wear and natural ivory veining consistent with age and use. A Japanese item from the Edo period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
