Netsuke - Elephant ivory - Signed Kōmin 孝民 - Two karasutengu 烏天狗 (crow tengu) and yamabushi 山伏 (ascetics) on a giant hōragai 法螺貝 (conch shell) - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) Refined netsuke depicting a large shell with figures inside it and 2 tengu climbing on it. Good condition overall with minimal wear and veining compatible with its age, possible missing bit on one hand. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU.
