Blz. 2 is a work in print (10) from the series "Blz. " In this series, the Utrecht artist focuses on the phenomenon of fashion magazines. The series of framed works form the pages of an abstracted version of magazine. Through a process of digitizing, editing, printing on textiles, stretching and 'framing', the images from (fashion) magazines make a journey through different materials. Thus, new autonomous works are created, purified of commercial character (the textual and figurative context) without losing the typical aesthetic elements of the original material.
