Noah Arends - Wall sculpture - Textile artwork - Snake Print & Drag Flag (two piece)

[ translate ]

Textile Art by Noah Arends Snake Print & Drag Flag (two piece) 233 x 84 x 1. 5 cm - 136 x 140 x 1. 5 cm Snake Print & Drag Flag is a unique wall sculpture by artist Noah Arends, made of wood and textiles. The wall sculpture consists of two parts, both of which have a suspension system that is fixed in the wall with two screws. Sculptures by Noah Arends originate from images from (fashion) magazines. This base material is digitized, processed, printed on textiles and then three-dimensionally designed. In this way, the image makes a journey through different materials. This work plays with perception: the two- and three-dimensional overlap in a strange way. Is the work spatial or flat? Fashion photography is mostly commercial in nature and we find it all around us. The work of Noah Arends interacts with those images, striping them of their commercial character, but preserves her typical aesthetic elements. The attraction of the original material takes shape in its own autonomous works.
